3 Months Old!

Lately, I have been in awe at how wonderful it is to have three children. Finn has been such a blessing to us. His brother and sister can't wait to see him each morning.  They play with him all day and then need Finn snuggles at night! Things are sometimes loud, overwhelming, and disorderly but there seems to be an overall joy with having a little baby around.

Finn is three months old.  Appreciate every moment, because time sure flies!  He is getting so wonderfully chubby and lovable!  He has even laughed a few times.  His eyes are always watching big sister and brother.  Finn has started to reach for his toys and stay pretty occupied in his bouncy chair. Although he seems to sleep well at night, he is a cat napper!  I guess it should not be a surprise for me.  If he sleeps longer than thirty minutes, I am in there making sure he is still breathing!

I can't wait to see how this little guy fits into our family.  Brooke and Oliver can't wait for him to start walking and talking... but I'm holding on to each little moment while he is just this small!

He is starting to hold his head up pretty well!  One of his favorite positions is to stand, reminds me of his big sister who walked at nine/ten months.

Halloween and a few more Pics

Walk in Peshastin

I usually don't post a "million" pictures, but I am just in love with the colors and lighting in these photos.  Kent surprised us at home (I forgot it was a half day) and we decided to go for a drive and see the Fall colors.  On the way home, our playdate at the park fell through, so we decided to walk at the Peshastin Mill Site.  We had never been there before, what a great place to bring kids! It felt so good to have my real camera out (not my phone) and to take some quality pictures of the kids.

Our rock collector... her pockets were quite heavy when she got back to the car!

I have given her a shorter hair cut... amazing how fast it grows out again!

Oh, this boy!  He has the sweetest heart!

And he's so expressive!

LOVE him.

"Kent, you'd better take a picture of me... not because I want to be on this side of the camera... just because I want the kids to remember me being here!"

Our thinker.

She's such a sweet girl, I feel so blessed!

Fall pictures

Grandma Britta got to come and help out for a few days last week.  It was sure nice to be able to run to my dentist appointment and kids' conferences with her help at home!  Kids were a little on the cranky side, but there were some good moments!

We did get to go on a nice drive!  The kids were well behaved and Finn slept the whole way!  The Fall colors in our area of Washington were just spectacular this year.  Usually some frosty mornings wipe out the orchard colors, but that did not happen this year.

Science

The kids found some science books at the library and couldn't wait to make the slime.  I'm glad it was an easy recipe with ingredients we had at home! 1/2 cup of water with 1 cup corn starch and food coloring.  The kids had a blast and made a huge mess!  It's really cool to feel the solid/liquid properties of the slime!

A look back...

We thought it would be fun to recreate this picture!  Brooke was two years old in the younger picture.
