Kettle Falls

During our visit to Kettle Falls, Brooke got to ride in Grandpa's boat! She loved the wind in her face and she was one of the cutest little boaters with her bright pink life jacket!

It has been an exceptional year for wildflowers. We missed the peak of these flowers but it was still beautiful.

Kent and the dogs enjoyed some 4 wheeling around the property.

We enjoyed swinging in the shade during the hot days.

Brooke loved her time up in Kettle Falls. She especially loved being outside exploring and playing. Grandma Britta thought it was pretty great that she can keep herself so entertained.

Two Smiles... Almost!

Brooke wanted me to take this photo. I almost got two big smiles at the same time!
I think Oliver made up for Brooke's 1/2 smile!

Cute!

Another word that Brooke picked up is "cute". Caitlin and I have a tendency to say it a lot. Yesterday she asked me to color with her and she reached over and touched my arm. "Cute arm Mama." she told me. Later that evening before bed she looked at me and said, "Cute Mama!" She cracks me up!

Kind Amals?

Brooke loves animals. At a year old she was making so many different animal noises and the names of animals were some of her first words. When we go on hikes the first thing she says is, "See animals!" Now when someone is sitting at the computer she comes up and wants to see animal pictures. Here's an idea of the conversation.

Brooke: "Amal (animal) pictures!"
Me: "What kind of animals?"
Brooke: "Ummm... let's see. Kind amals (animals)?"
Me: "How about a zebra?"
Brooke: "Zeeba!"

She picked up, "Umm... let's see" from me. I had no idea I said that so much!

Early Morning

I had to snap a photo of our two happy kids this morning!

Pool Fun

We have a wonderful local pool that is the perfect place to be on a hot day. Brooke wants to spend the ENTIRE time jumping in. Too bad this day was cut short by "contamination"... the joys of sharing the pool with dozens of other children!

A Look to the Future!?

We spent the morning in Lake Chelan. We met my friend Sarah at the library just in time for story time. Brooke enjoyed observing and somewhat participating with all the other young kids. Afterwards Brooke was invited to take a ride in Tristan's very cool truck. We were so surprised that Brooke was not nervous or scared. She loved it (probably because Tristan was such a great driver)!

After the fantastic ride the two gave each other high fives and knuckles!

See ya! Thanks for the ride! It was totally worth the trip up to Chelan to see this! We just had a kick watching them cruise around the lawn.
