Valentine's Day

It's Valentine's Day!  It's kind of crazy that there is no snow on the ground and the weather warms up to the mid to high 50's during the day.  I kind of like it!

Finn is sitting up pretty well now.  It was warm enough for him to be outside with the big kids!

Homeschooling is going well!  You just can't beat working on schoolwork in the sunshine!

Happy 5 Months Finn!

5 months has been a wonderful time for Finn.  His personality is developing a little more every day.  He is such a calm, happy, sweet baby.  He has started to reach for everything, and we already lost our first glass measuring cup because his little fingers grabbed it!  He has also discovered his thumb.  It doesn't sooth him when he's going to bed, but he tries to suck on it when he gets tired.  So cute.

He only rolls one direction... from front to back, and only to his right side.  Funny boy.

He normally ends up sleeping with us, because I have been so tired lately.  If he has a bad napping day, he sometimes wants to wake up and play at 3 or 4am.  Not my idea of a good time!  I look forward to the time where he can sleep more hours in a row, but for the time being, I'm enjoying it!  Oliver said today, "I don't want Finn to grow up, because he's so cute!"  I am so lucky to have two kids that adore their baby brother.  He has been such a wonderful addition to our family!

Oliver is loving his nerf guns lately.  We have been playing indoors a lot this month so we have had to be a little creative with our playing!

4 Months

I was a little late on getting Finn's four month photos because I was getting everything ready for a trip to California for Christmas.  Finn is a pretty good baby!  He is the best baby on car rides.  Recently he slept all the way to Seattle, was awake for a few hours and then slept all the way back.  He is 16 pounds and full of chubby love!

He now needs toys to entertain him and finds it very hard to fall asleep in noisy, distracting places (away from home).  

He looks like he's sitting up here, but he's actually rocking back and forth... bouncing off the pillows and his belly and arms!  He is definitely getting stronger and I bet he will be sitting much better in the coming months.  It was the first really challenging monthly photo shoot because he didn't want to lay back, but when I propped him up he wanted to move!

The snow was warming up, so we got outside to build a snowman!

This little guy is changing and growing every day.  On our Christmas trip to California, he learned how to roll from front to back (only one direction!).

Boys!

Brooke woke up sick this morning.  I was dissapointed about her being ill, but guess who brightened up my day!  Oliver came out of his room with his smiles and jokes and made my day so much more joyful.

It's hard to believe this boy is 4 1/2 years old.  He was waiting for his friend Shane to pick him up and bring him to preschool at Vale.  I think he was singing Jingle Bells and also making up jokes.  "Isn't that a funny joke, Mom!?"

Oliver brought home a cinnamon "flavored" ornament for our tree in the shape of a star.  He was SO proud of the gift.  I just love his attitude about school!

Not a huge fan of tummy time, he sure loves being on his back and seeing faces!
