Oliver: Three Months Old

Where did the time go? Oliver is really doing well. We think he's about 14 1/2 lbs which means he has doubled his birth weight! Obviously he's eating well! Along with the adorable baby rolls he's got some very strong legs. About a week ago he started actually walking forward when held (with my mom and then Whitney)... I still can't believe it. I thought it was crazy when Brooke figured that out around 5 months old.

Oliver can be fussy at times but most of the time he is very happy. He smiles so easily as you can see from the photos above. He sleeps so well. At night he'll sleep 6-8 1/2 hours in a row!

Oliver has discovered his hands! We added a toy to his car seat so he has something to play with. The time is going by so fast that my mom actually had to remind me to do that! He brings his hand to his mouth to suck on his fingers. While doing laundry downstairs the other day I put him in the toy above and he actually liked it! I didn't use it with Brooke until she was about five months... so he's getting a head start!

Rocky Reach Dam

Rocky Reach Dam is only about 20 minutes away. It's a great place to visit!

It has a great playground.

Which can cause some wild hair styles.

You can see some big fish!

And some little fish.

I was amazed at the resemblance of our two little ones after I made this photo.

Swimming in the River

Brooke had her first real swim in the Wenatchee River. She LOVED it. When she saw her daddy swimming away she wanted to follow him right out there. Not afraid of the cold water. Kent had her floating and she was laughing!

Brooke liked her first ever canoe ride.

The dogs tried to follow the canoe everywhere it went. At one point they were hardly moving because of the strong current. They got a good work out!

Brooke's diaper really filled up with water... some junk in the truck as they say!

Fun on the Farm

We found a shady spot and played with chalk. It was fun for us and the kids!

Special Summer Friends

We are so lucky to have kept in touch with our college friends Bob and Emily. They have visited Cashmere several times and we always enjoy their visits. We are so lucky to have girls about the same age and soon both of our girls will be big sisters!

We visited the pool on the first day. Didn't the girls look cute in their bright colors!

The girls played outside on our swing set and played with water toys.

Etta enjoyed a cold treat!

The second day of their visit we took a short trip to the park for a picnic.

Grandma Carol joined us and helped keep Oliver happy!

Lake Chelan Bach Festival 2010

Big smiles for Daddy!

A very clear sign of Oliver growing up... he was awake all he way to Chelan in the car and the ENTIRE concert. He was happy as can be just sitting and looking. Amazing! (He's been making up for it today by sleeping almost the entire day...)

Bathroom Remodel

BEFORE! This is a photo of the bathroom before we bought the house in 2004.

AFTER! One of the best things we have done to our house is add this tile floor to our bathroom. We LOVE it!

I just finished the last bit of painting on our bathroom. I think the new color looks great with the floor. We also moved the very ugly white vent that used to be in the wall to the right of the sink into the floor. What a huge improvement.
