BIG Update

I've been so busy it's hard to remember to update the blog! So, I thought I'd add a few pics from my memory card as I clean it off. Here's our sweet little boy on a hot spring day. Makes me want to have shorts on again!

I just can't get enough pictures of Finn... he's so fun!

We have never seen a child so enthralled with Grandpa John! Grandpa sure loves playing with him. It's been a really special connection to watch.

I was so sad when I took this photo; I think I was holding back tears. While my parents were looking for a house in this area, they lived with us. We had them at our house for six months! This was our last family dinner before they headed down to California. Now that they have a house, they won't be needing to stay with us and it's good to have them in the valley more often. But I'll always look back on those six months with great memories and appreciation for all the dishes, cleaning and kid help they gave us!

Our beautiful Brooke. She is a wonderful helper with her younger brother Finn.

Oliver! Always on the move!

Kent's bands are doing so well. He is up to about 75 in his high school band and ready to split the group into two bands! I'm so proud of his dedication and love for his students.

And then the fall rains came! I am thankful for the time I've been able to have at home with Finn.

We let a few pumpkins from the previous season rot in our compost pile. It's fun to see how many we can grow!

We spent so much time on our front garden last year. I built a dry creek and cleaned out some large sections of weeds with my mom. We removes some large bushes which were dying and looking ugly. Even though it doesn't give us as much privacy, we are now used to the new look and those who walk by enjoy our new look. Kent also finished the front pathways and built a garden bridge which we all enjoy.

We still watch Maisy quite a bit. Her real mom is a busy nurse, so we get to enjoy her a lot.

Climbing the tree in the backyard became one of the most popular outdoor activities.

I have been working for a arts non-profit for the last five years and we received an award for dedication to the local music programs.

We are so thankful for the group of friends in our lives. One friend organized a firetruck visit and it was a hit!

I've been conducting the local youth symphony this year and it's been a blast!

Brooke and her teacher on Veteran's Day.

Kent conducting his high school band and the chorus during the ceremony.

Annie and the youth symphony at their concert.

Finn enjoying the new paths in our front yard.

Having friends over to play is always a highlight!

Opening presents on Christmas morning!

December was COLD, seriously COLD!

We had quite a bit of snow this year!

Oliver has been loving practicing his basketball skills!
