To mark Brooke's 2nd week we took a hike up to Merritt Lake (on Steven's Pass). After an hour drive, we found the trail head. Grandma Carol and Annie changed her diaper on the tailgate of the truck... and with an unexpected extra "movement" she soiled her clothes and two extra diapers. We were prepared and changed her into some new clothes and we were off! Those little accidents are so much more comical when others are around to "enjoy" the moment (and when it's not 3am).
After three miles of hiking UPHILL we finally reached the lake.
There were quite a few people at Merritt Lake, but there were enough isolated spots to enjoy a lunch and not be too interrupted. There were some mosquitoes that were a bit annoying, but other than that it was nice a peaceful.
Brooke had a short warming sun-bath as I changed her diaper. She was happy as a clam laying there stretched out sunbathing (don't worry... it wasn't for long)!
Kent brought his fly rod and caught a few brook trout while we were eating our cup of noodles.

Where is Kent?
Can you find him?
Kent (aka mountain goat) scrambled up the hill to get a better view.
The group poses before heading down the mountain. Only 3 miles more to go!
